economic stimulus

I am a 17 year old dependent minor who has been working for the past year and a half and last year I made around $8000. Am I going to recieve a check from the government due to the economic stimulus package? And will my parents recieve a $300 check for me as well?

no one gets any stimulus rebate due to your existence or earnings. . . . sorry. . . . rules by Congress. . . . nonsensical

  2. Because your parents claim you as a dependent on their 2007 return, you will not receive a rebate check and your parents will receive the 300.00 for you.

  3. Dependents aren’t eligible. And if you were 17 on or before 12/31/07, your parents won’t get $300 for you either.

  5. Since you are claimed as a dependent, you are NOT eligible for any stimulus plan payment regardless of your income. And since you are 17 or older, your parents won’t get the $300 for you either.
